A historic customs house turns into a modern hotel
Once again the Van der Valk hotelgroup revitalized a historic building in a modern design. The former customs house from the late 19th century was totally adapted to the demands of a modern luxury hotel, whereas the historic façade was retained. Voglauer was engaged to furnish 100 two storied rooms (with bedrooms upstairs and bathrooms, seating accommodations and wardrobe downstairs). The eight different roomdesigns were inspired by the forestal landscape which surrounds the hotel. The time for completion from order to turnkey delivery was six month. Voglauer hotel concept was chosen because of its perfect quality and service during the whole project.
Hotel Van der Valk Verviers, situated on the way to the Belgian Ardennes, is the only hotel within a radius of 20 km.
