The “Oscars” of the German hotel industry: Voglauer was a partner at the “Hotelier of the Year” event. Since 1990, the industry prize for “Hotelier of the Year” has been honouring personalities who have rendered outstanding services to the hotel industry.
In addition to the Hotelier of the Year prize, there was also the Special Award. Ever since 1990, the General Hotel and Catering Journal – AHGZ (published by the Deutscher Fachverlag publishing group) has been honouring outstanding services in the hotel industry with this prestigious award.
And here are the award winners for 2014: for 16 years, Ingo C. Peters has been running the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg through thick and thin. He has been running the place as if it were his own, managing to make a chain hotel look like a private hotel and giving it a soul. And it’s no surprise either, after all, it is his dream hotel.
Special Award: the Nassauer Hof is Karl Nüser’s life’s work. For 33 years he has been controlling the fate of the historical 5-star superior hotel in Wiesbaden. With plenty of passion, hard work and investments, he has managed to free the place from the rigid, clichéd exclusivity of a luxury hotel and lead it successfully into the future. In the process, the trained chef has always remained true to his maxims: “We fight for every guest, by not at all costs.”
Voglauer hotel concept wishes to congratulate all involved in the successful event and the prize winners.
Voglauer provided part of the interior furnishings (reception, check-in, stage design) for the “most important industry event in the German hotel business”. The design bears the signature of the JOI-Design architecture firm fromHamburg.
