The house of the hotel Goldener Adler was built in 1664 and has been managed as a tavern since 1930. The owners decided on a modern new construction with 39 rooms with consideration and responsibility towards the building substance. Only the foundation walls of the ground floor were preserved – the other substance was built up and modernised. The new building was built under the direction of the architectural office Waldhart in Innsbruck.
Voglauer hotel concept was contracted for the furnishing of the entire rooms. This included the furniture, seating arrangements, lighting, curtains and the flooring. The rooms were equipped in a harmonious design with natural materials like wild oak and European larch that were supplemented with warm colours. The modern interior convinces with a clear-cut look. The coat of arms of the house was embroidered into some headboard of the beds as a highlight.
