“Without bells. With whistles.“ is the motto of Das Gerlos. During the construction of the new design hotel, VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT was responsible for the interior design in cooperation with Interior Architects by Wohnatelier as well as for the interior furnishings, including the flooring.
The minimalistic design concept stretches from the 35 rooms & suites to all public areas such as the reception & lobby, bar & lounge and breakfast area with buffet, all the way to the wellness area. A central element is the point (circle) of the corporate identity (“perfect starting point”), which is reflected in the interior by the ring and cylinder lights, circular coffee tables, bathroom mirrors or even by the indirectly illuminated ceiling in the breakfast room. The materiality of the furniture and interior fittings, which were sustainably manufactured by VOGLAUER, is impressive in light wild oak and fine fabrics in simple black and grey tones. In the public areas, exposed concrete creates the smart character and thus stands in unique contrast to the sound-absorbing, upholstered and planted walls.
The tight construction schedule posed a challenge for the project management with on-site installation, which VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT was able to successfully manage. The general contractor from Salzburg once again scored with experience and expertise!
