The inn “Zur Wassermühle”, which belongs to the adventure hotel “Zur Schiffsmühle”, is a popular, historical event location in Grimma. VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT was responsible for the redesign and refurbishment of the interior, consisting of the entrance hall, “ox stable”, “chicken coop”, “straw barn” and gallery/event room. With full respect and appreciation, the interior designers accepted the joyful challenge of putting this venerable building in a new light with fresh charm.
The rustic interior was designed to match the naming of the premises. The character of the room is underlined by the special choice of materials and the sensual perception is additionally shaped: For example, the oxen stable (bar and seating area) now features a bar front covered in cowskin and a cowbell lamp. In the straw barn, a small alcove on the mezzanine floor, a pouring image made of straw adorns the wall, and the counter panelling in the gallery is also a unique highlight with its copper sheeting and foot rail made of wrought iron.
With its technical expertise VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT was able to successfully meet the challenge of the sloping floors and walls of the historic building. Once again, the general contractor of Salzburg convinces with experience and reliability!
