As a general contractor in interior design and a partner for many years, VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT was commissioned with the renovation of 15 rooms, corridors and staircase in the Hotel Schlicker zum Goldenen Löwen****, one of Munich’s oldest inns. The preservation order of the family business with around 600 years of tradition required special sensitivity in the planning and realisation.
The interior was designed in a classic style with warm, noble colours to match the style of the house. Furniture and interior fittings in dark nut wood with matt-gold handles were skilfully combined with high-quality fabrics, such as velvet. Textiles with customised designs and magnificent wallpapers make the rooms look royal. The imposing maisonette with the canopy over the bed and the gallery as a retreat with seating and library also deserve special mention.
The realisation took place within 11 weeks and could be completed on schedule despite additional fire protection measures that were required by the old masonry. Especially with regard to fire protection, but also with regard to the installation of the new outdoor air-conditioning unit, it was necessary to take the protection of historical monuments and the requirements of the city of Munich into account. The hotel’s inner-city location required some special permits and made the delivery conditions more difficult, which VOGLAUER HOTEL CONCEPT once again took care of perfectly.
The range of services at the Hotel Schlicker zum Goldenen Löwen**** included not only the design and implementation planning, but also all renovation work and the coordination of all trades.
